Swamps are often considered a haunted spooky place, full of alligators, bugs, and swampy stuff. The question is how come we have such a bleak look on that type of habitat? So I’ve decided to ask those that live here in this wet, bug infested land, why it’s so bleak.
And you know what I found out? Those alligators or ‘Pale eyes’ as they like themselves to be called don’t think it’s bad at all. They argue that they are not bad and it’s all just a misunderstanding. So I went to the dark warm African swamps to find out more about this. Here is their story…


“Well I was swimming through my dark lake as usual,” said Yellow, the leader of the pale eyes.
“And suddenly I got poked by a large stick…so I bit it.” Here he paused and laughed remembering it all, “It wasn’t very nice of those people to poke me, but what was worse was that the stick hurt and was sharp! So I opened my jaws and bit down hard to break the stick.” Here he shuddered as though reliving the pain.
“For some reasons they were in awe of me. They started pointing and saying, ‘AHHHH’ in loud voices. They even, in there rush to see me, jumped overboard. I went over to see if they were ok. They seemed to be drowning. So I took hold of his arm in my jaw and started pulling him back to their wooden craft.” He sighed here shaking his head.
“Then the people went ‘AHHHhhhhh’ more and said ‘Go away’ so I was stuck with this frozen guy. Then I realized what they wanted me to do, I mean he jumped into the water just when I was hunting. So obviously they gave me him to eat. So I obliged. And since then people have been saying we’re man eating beasts…And that is not true.”


“So you see, Pale eyes are not bad at all. It was just a misunderstanding. This was your daily info from KSZ, Katie Den…” the news caster sighed turning of the tape recorder and glancing around in the dark.
“Now I just got to find a way to get the story to the news room. Hey Yellow, can you spit me out now? Your stomach’s dark and there’s some guy in here talking about being eaten by an alligator…”
