Writing this at an internet cafe right now. It's a place called @net, and it's not too far from where the marathon was. I'm with Russ, who's playing iRO, and Josh (thetormented_1), who's trying out Counter-Strike. I'm trying to write this, and play Flash Flash Revolution, the computer keyboard equivalent of DDR, and I'm not doing too well. xp
For being in a library auditorium all day, alot of interesting things happened. The library is, like secluded off from the rest of the world, the only reason I know where it is, is because I'm a bookworm, and it's the closest one to my house. Russ was supposed to walk with Josh, since he lives withing walking distance, while I caught the bus. I was so mad not having money, because while waiting on Nellis for the bus, Carl's Jr. was mocking me with its damn Breakfast Bowl. I could change the fact that I was flat broke, so I just sucked it up, and tried to focus on the upcoming 15 episodes of Naruto I'd be watching among friends.
Russ and Josh, along with Josh's mom and girlfriend, drove by me when I was walking on the road heading towards the library. They picked me up and I got a ride for about 50 yds. Lucky me. xp
We had to wait an hour for the place to actually open, but it was nice in there. Suprisingly, not alot of people showed up, and the chairs got uncomfortable real fast, so Rich offered two blankets to about 8 kids. Big mistake. While I was hogging one of them, this girl who seems to fancy Gaara, and a girl dressed in Sasuke's old getup, seemed to find by lone blankey usage unfair. We ended up tug-of-warring for it, and I only lost because Russ decided to chivalric on me, and help them. He also decided to wrap me in the blanket, drag me to the storage closet, and try to lock me in there.
One of the biggest laughs had to be during one of the Naruto episodes. It's that one where Sakura and Ino decide to visit their beloved Sasuke in the hospital, each bringing a flower. When they go with the nurse to his room, and he's nowhere to be found, we found it hilarious as my friend pointed out, that the nurse checked the closet for him, and when it turned up empty, she seemed suprised or disappointed, like she was sure he would have been in there. That got into some Sasuke-being-gay jokes, and it went all downhill from there, having us dub the stupid a** nurse "Closet Nurse" from then on.
When it was over and we were packing up, Rich, the organizer of AV, decided we had time to watch one more thing. He showed us this episode of DearS, a fansub anime that had recently finished in Japan. This show was definetly not for the kiddies, as it had some graphic stuff. The teacher in the show seemed to be the worst, allowing the kids to act out scenes from these naughty novels similar to the stuff Kakashi reads, and when they weren't doing it right, they had to do it out loud in front of the class with the teacher as one of the performers. Needless to say it caught some attention.
When we got out, we were starving, so we dropped by Wendy's, and ended up sitting next to some kids who had went to the Ren Faire today. They seemed to like playing with the balloons tied on the railings, stuffing them down their shirts, and taking pictures with their cell phones. Whatever floats you boat, I suppose. I was too hungry to care.
Well, gotta close up again, my time on the computer is almost up. Here's your sign, I mean, quote:
"You've got to persevere. Persevere, and keep your sense of humor." - Jim Brady.
