~+THE LEGEND OF THE SUN AND MOON+~

A long time ago, there was always nothing to light up the night sky except the mother goddess of the stars. All of them are very young except for one goddess, she was named Schichiyou. Among all other goddesses, she was the most beautiful, the most fairest and the purest of heart. She holds a flute which she plays in the night when the time of night comes. Then, there was a God named Taiyou, he was the sun, the one who lights up the morning and disappears at night. He was the most brave, kind hearted and the most handsome from all the other gods, he holds a determined heart.

One day, the gods and goddesses had a meeting, they were talking about Schichiyou's title as a goddess. She was never much of help, although she was good at playing her flute, never would it do any help but as her young brothers and sisters say, she helps the children sleep. The other gods and goddesses then thought about it...Taiyou came in late from the meeting. He saw Schichiyou in awe and Schichiyou looked at him the same way, they both looked away from each other's gaze.

Taiyou looked at the other gods and goddesses "What seems to be the problem?" he asked "We cannot find a title for Schichiyou, surely that she cannot be a star because she is the eldest..." one god has said. Taiyou scratched his chin and examined Schichiyou who seems to be uneased. He then had an idea "Can she not be the light of the night?" he asked, the other gods and goddesses thought about it.

A few hours of thinking they had agreed "So it is as agreed...Goddess Schichiyou shall be known as the goddess of the night light, known as the Moon. After that, everyday Taiyou would always see Schichiyou which would always make their relationship stronger. After that, they were married. Schichiyou has gave birth to twin infants a god and a goddess. As the twin grew, they left earth along with 2 gods and 2 goddesses, nobody ever knew what happened to the 6 gods and goddesses.

As the twins have left, Schichiyou's husband, Taiyou must also be separated to her they cannot always be seen together. So before he left, Schichiyou has given him a kiss and played a song, it was the song of great harmony and the song that would always be cherished by many people, a song of both joy and sorrow. The day that they have left from her was the same day that the goddess of moon was created.

So each year that the day of the sun and moon would pass by, tamaresses and Humans spend that day in preparations of the coming of the moon. And by the end of the day, a female human and/or tamaress is chosen to be the moon to play the song that the moon has played after the departure of her husband and her children.
