Bullets rip
Bayonette slash
Cold metal gints
As two armies clash
A battle emerges
From this awful sight
And one has to wonder
Why these armies fight
Flesh is ripped
Guts are slashed
Red blood glints
These two armies clash
As blood is spilled
Grown men cry out
Sounds of artillery
Are drowned in shouts
Shrapnel rips
Knives slash
Explosions glint
As two armies clash
Trained soldiers
Are gripped by cold fear
As roaring flame
Burns all they hold dear
Cannons rip
Ancient swords slash
In firey glint
Two armies will clash.
