This is my first attempt at properly drawing a hand. I hate drawing hands but i'm on my Work Experience at the moment with an artist who paints on silk. She tasked me to practise drawing hands and this is about the 3rd time lucky. The first time i didn't get further than the thumb and chucked it. The 2nd time i only got the shape of the hand, which was wrong. So i chucked that too.
Anyways, i like constructive comments so PLEASE comment! I'd like to know what you all think! - Date: 06/10/2009

Anyway, the hand is good for a first attempt, but I think you're just drawing. Block in the fingers! Think in simple geometric shapes like rectangles or ovals. Then detail each shape more and more overall. Ex: Draw in basic shapes. Check proportions. Draw in outline. Check proportions. Draw major folds. Check proportions. Draw in minor details. - I'm not good at drawing hands either. I feel for you. But the left end of the hand looks too masculine. I'm sure your hand has more curves than that.

- Sorry but its a real piece of crap! A HAND! seriously make a better pic! ok here....at least make the hand detailed....theres not enough lines!!!!!

- Middle finger is a big thick compared to the others and the thumb i small, but good work ^^

- Start off with using squares and rectangles to make the hand shape turn out better..fingers aren't that bad just the palm and thumb
