- A good start. Definitely use a straight edge or ruler for the lines on the rod. Also consider how the drawing looks when you let your eyes unfocus on it. The background and the hand are the same darkness. Making the background and rod darker will make the hand stand out more. Keep up the good work!

- there's something off about your anatom, but I can't put my finger on it. Your rod is very wobbly; straighten the edges up.
