- I think your problem is probably in large part, the film and processing you're using. I preferred Fuji film before I got my digital. Never the less, this is an interesting effect on this shot smile

- Well, your 'crappy camera' gives different colors, but I really like them in this shot. And I think you had a good view on perspective here.
