It was Christmas, and we had these star shaped cookies as part of the dessert.
My phone rang just before I was going to bite into one, so I left the table to take it.
It was my boyfriend.
Breaking up with me.
It was horrible, but I knew I couldn't let it ruin Christmas for me and my family, so I went back.
My cookie was broken.
It symbolised my heart.
I couldn't take it anymore and burst into tears...
