He may be a powerful captain that was trained under Yamamato-Genryuusai Shigekuni, Captain of the 1st Division, and one of the first captains ever to enlist in the Gotei 13 along with Jyuushiro Ukitake, in certain situations when a fight may be necessary to settle problems, he would always try to talk his way out of it and take the path with the least violence as possible.
