Laid back and flamboyant, Kyoraku is usually seen drinking sake or chasing women. His lieutenant, Nanao Ise, is always the one to drag him back to work. Though he seems lazy, he is very wise and insightful. He is good friends with Captain Ukitake and they both were trained by S.G. Yamamoto himself.
His Zanpakuto is Katen Kyōkotsu. It is one of the only two duel Zanpakuto. According to games on the PSP and DS, his Zanpakuto allows him to manipulate wind. - Date: 05/26/2009
