Akita Neru is, unbelievably, a Japanese personification/moe anthromorph of a troll.
Akita Neru’s image is a loose deviation of Hatsune’s image. While Miku has two ponytails, Neru has only one; while Miku has blue hair, Neru has orange; while Miku usually holds a leek, Neru usually holds a cellphone. These were all done to deviate Neru from Miku.
Akita Neru is also featured in the popular comics: Chibi Miku-san and Miku Fantasy - Date: 02/06/2011
