A mermaid falls in love with a prince. She asks the sea witch for legs. The witch agrees but says to her I shall take your voice, and if he finds another person to love you shall die and never return. She agrees. She then sees the prince and runs to him. But she can't tell him how she feels. They spent time together but the prince falls in love with someone else. She can take his heart and be a mermaid. Or die....By: Hans Christian Andersen
