Mary I had almost 300 burned at the stake, earning her the sobriquet of "Bloody Mary""
She inspired a legend - appearing as a horrific image in the mirror when summoned.
The presence of gold shows not only the wealth of her realm (the crown, the mirror) but also the Golden Rose (petals), which she received from the church as a love token.
She was not always all that bad which is why I used the blood tears. It puts across the tragedy in her life, while staying true to her bloody actions. - Date: 10/04/2010

The avatar is simply beautiful and has symbolism at the same time.
It's nice to see an elegany Mary, but also with some actual history behind it.
She's not just some boogeyman, but an actual woman at some point who was so horrific that a legend followed her.
I actually have heard quite a few different theories on who she was, but this works!
Oh, I hope you place!
