Ren is one of the Tao family a family of powerful shamans who bear a strong hatred with the world. Rens first appearance in the story was to steal Yoh guardian spirit Amidamaru. After his first and second defeat by Yoh Ren eventually befriended him and became one of his allies. As one of the elemental warriors he wields the Spirit of Thunder and his spirit Ally Bason a dead Chinese Warlord.

- The briefcase wasn't really a key importance to the cosplay it's only because of the ref pic. To many people who already know Tao Ren his spiritualistic medium for Bason in his early oversouls forms is his Kwan-Do which is inside the briefcase. Also if you want to talk about the Wakabo hairstyle it's doesn't really fit the Tongari spike hairstyle I can't sacrifice a crappy imitation for his bangs.

Use the Case of Pietro for the Briefcase, and there's a better hairstyle that sticks up like his does, but otherwise you did a really good job.
