Roy Mustang is a state alchemist who controls the element fire using his pyrotex gloves that have an alchemic array on the back hence the name the Flame Alchemist. In the beginning he is a Lieutenant Colonel in the Amestrian military later he becomes Colonel. His dream is to become Fuhrer. Now two years later we have General Roy Mustang who threw down his rank to a regular soldier waiting for Edward Elric to return.
