Description:
Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house(lets assume this tree is in a house)
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse (good because I didn't include a mouse).
The stockings (mountain of presents) were hung (placed) by the chimney (under the tree) with care,
In hopes that St Nicholas soon would be there (well actually it looks as though he has already been here, but for the sake of the poem lets say these are presents from the grandparents.).
