- Try using a colored reference picture, it would help.

- This is okay, however I'm not entirely sure how to compare your avatar to the reference picture. Obviously, your reference was to a manga, but the thing is people want to see a reference with color in it. Therefore, I cannot grade it as I would like to. :/
