"Starkiller," designation Subject 1138, was a clone of Galen Marek, the Force-sensitive Human male apprentice of the Sith Lord Darth Vader. Following Marek's death in the year 2 BBY, Vader attempted to create a more powerful and obedient servant using the preserved corpse of his fallen apprentice as a template.
