  • Title: The Swordswoman
  • Artist: Tomore
  • Description: Everything about her, from the tumbling charcoal curls down her back to the white leathers and cloth of the dress uniform, was clean---except her soul. The blade that rested in its sheath over her shoulder had drank of the blood of her enemies yesterday: those who would kill and enslave her and hers. Today was for forgiveness, both for herself for killing them, and for them, for doing what they felt they had to do. The swordswoman closed her eyes, clasped her hands before her chest, and prayed.

  • The sword is over the shoulder. Badly placed, I'll admit. Yes, praying avatars are common. Yet, with respect, I believe they are common for a reason. Maybe there are things that speak to people beyond flashy colors and clever placement. Maybe something relatable, soothing even, is welcome in the hearts of those voters who are not strictly connoisseurs. Obviously, the description doesn't fit that, but the avatar itself, does.

  • Praying avatars that look like this are a dime a dozen. You could give her a mouth, but it would still be lackluster compared to all the nicely layered monochromatic winners that have won in the past. Congratulations though. I haven't seen that hairstyle in a while.

  • I can't agree with your opinion (obvious right? Since I made it!) but I much respect your opinion itself. Thank you.

  • Thank you both, Nekro Terror and Ruiner Shard. ^^ I'm so happy to hear you enjoy my entry!
