We were going to start a new life together
To hell with what the people in this little town thought
An old man can love a young woman and a young woman can love an old man
Or at least I thought so
By 5pm I started having my doubts
Maybe she saw me like the rest of them
Maybe she saw me as a dirty old man
Maybe this was all a ruse to get me out of town
I've already sold my house
The town wouldn't let me back anyway
