She stands stock-still,
Amidst the wintry forest.
Her staff held aloft in hope,
To guide her lover’s return.
She waits, she weeps
The tears fall thick and fast
For a day and a time
When things were different.
The nights slip by, a fog sets in
The horizon does not yield.
(This is my first attempt at the arenas, as I had neither the gold nor the time to put together an accompanying text. Any feedback is greatly appreciated)
