Taken by storm,
I come alive,
unwilling to conform,
unwilling to let myself die.
Flame runs through my veins,
a well known insanity,
for I must pick up the strain,
of fighting for humanity.
A fire inside,
I feel no shame,
there's an eternal fight for my life,
and I gain determination from the flames.
To fight, to win,
I struggle to keep the fight on,
believing in the power of the flame within,
that I can save at least one.
( Title is Thousand Foot Krutch's song. Poem is mine-Battle Within.).
