- Title: Our Lady of the Waste
- Artist: A Suffusion of Yellow
-
Description:
By dark of night in desert wild
A lonely lantern gleams
Led by a pale and silent child
To light
Its darkest pits and seams
It is the Lady of the Waste
Blighted queen of carrion
Forever to remain but chaste
All while
The land is scarred and barren. - Date: 05/30/2010

- Pssh, ignore the people who say it's too plain to be good. This is an example of simplicity used well. I love it!

- Wolfram said it best, really. The fact of the matter is that this avatar, by itself, is completely worthless and FAR too simple to be in the top 10. You got voted up on your high school-level writing skills.

- She has no one to be an idol for if she is lonely. If her skin is damaged then there is no need for makeup on a child. She chose the skin because she couldn't afford white body dye. Don't elaborate on her description. You're adding more meaning than need be to make the avatar better for yourself.

- very few avis rarely dare to keep things simple. The hair is perfect - it seems the ultimate result of your characters vanity and climate humidity. Also the fact that this character is determined to be an idol of chastity despite the barren wasteland and how it has already damaged her skin. 6/5 if i could still vote
