"Who are you?" aked a child timidly.
A strange woman was staring down at him with her eyes gleaming, reminding him of a fire.
In her hand she held a single dying rose. The child curiously touched its petals and than helplessly watched as a few of them fell to the ground.
The women finally smiled and handed him the rose.
In that moment, for the first time, a human being understood what she was offering.
It was their dying world.
