This detailed history below is based in part on a cross between the DC New Universe and the Gaia Online Universe. It is not meant to disrupt any former or current story lines contained in DC Comics. This story is meant to add another possible alternate history to those stories. The story's contained in the Gaia Universe are newly created and open to my own interpretation.

The Styles Family History 
 
In The Beginning... 
 
Back in ancient Africa, The Styles ancestors were always involved in the worship of the Orisha Gods (Yoruba) 
 
When first Slave trade started. There was an ancestor who was the current family Orisha Houngan Asogwe Priest. His name was Shaka Styl and He was a witness to the early slave trade. The visions he had told him that His blood line would die off once he was captured. To try and save his Kin, he prayed to the lawful good faction of Orisha Gods to always preserve his blood line and grant his future descendants these qualities... 
 
Success, Strength, Power, Wealth, Knowledge, Wisdom and Understanding... 
 
Seven tenants He felt would help his future descendants survive.... The lawful good faction of Orisha Gods told him that they would grant these forever only for a Price! For every generation that progressed...the First born male child must be given in body and soul to The Gods, and that the child must be raised as a Orisha priest. The Orisha Priest agreed to this price and forever more his future descendants would be forever blessed! 
 
This is why the Styles Family bloodline has met with such success..So for every generation...The first born male child must be raised as a Houngan Mystic. 
 
In the long tradition of his family. Furious started his training at the early age of 5 yrs old to become a Orisha Houngan asogwe of The Styles Family. From early childhood,His father Jamaican Billionaire industrialist, and philanthropist, Lucifer Lyron Styles sent his young child Furious Toussaint Styles around the world traveling and training his mind and his body for years until he reached adulthood, to become a experienced Orisha Houngan. 
 
Now that He is being trained by his Grandfather. Hopefully with patience and time He shall accomplish his goal. During these travels Furious was always accompanied by his faithful family servant Mr. Julius Griffiths 
 
Then at the age of 16 yrs old. A curious thing occurred. Furious was studying at a Monastery,deep in the mountains of Tibet at Nanda Parbat. While in meditation, the Goddess Rama Kushna and His Patron Deity Ọlọ́run ,Sky Father of The Orisha Gods appeared before him, to inform him of an offer. Foreseeing a time that science and magic would need to work hand in hand one day to prevent a future apocalypse. They approached the Guardians of The Universe, the ones who created the Green Lantern Corps and petitioned to allow a chosen one of their order to be chosen to be trained and possess a Green Lantern power ring. The Guardians of The Universe agreed to this proposal. The Guardians then created a Green Lantern Power Ring and a self contained Power battery as well. This power ring is specifically tied to Furious's DNA. What they used to create this special power ring is unknown, as it was not created in the normal scientific process used to create other power rings. However it has been speculated that a secretly kept sizable fragment of the Legendary Starheart orb was used to create this particular power ring and power battery. Since his training,He has gained much experience using it and has even programmed his ring to act as an A.I. with artificial intelligence. It is speculated that the ring may have already possessed this ability and have a intelligent mind of it's own due to the fact that it may have been created with a Starheart fragment. 
 
At the point in his life Furious was one of the youngest chosen at that point (although since then younger beings have joined) to serve as a Green Lantern Corps member although technically he is not a regular member, meaning he is required to report like regular corps members would. He does report to Ganthet on occasion for special missions that require his particular talents. He even grew to have a close relationship with legendary Green Lantern John Stewart, as Furious sees him as a mentor. He views Ganthet as a father figure being that it was Ganthet who presented him with his power ring. Furious then went on to study both arcane and science arts as a means to meld both arts together and understand how they can work in relation to one another. 
 
Upon his return from his sojourn of years of traveling, Furious returned home to the Island Nation of Jamaica and has followed in the footsteps of his Grandfather before him who was known as "Don Dada Fury" A Jamaican Crime lord and leader of the "The Black Lion Jamaican Posse" Criminal Organization.His real name is "Lyron Toussaint Styles" He was one of the most feared crime lords in Kingston Jamaica...However, being a crime lord is a facade, He was actually a high level mystic master Orisha Houngan Asogwe of the Orisha religion and is known in mystic circles as "The Green Mist". He fought crime and protected the innocent and protected this dimension's barriers from intrusion by the otherworldly evils that would threaten it. Some believe the Green Mist was just an urban legend, but those who would threaten the innocent and weak....know him to be all too real. Grandfather Styles now mentors and trains his grandson Furious in all mystical arts and has made sure Furious is the new "Green Mist". Furious will also will inherit the mantle of "Don Dada Fury." from His own father Lucifer Lyron Styles. He is next in line to be the leader of "The Black Lion Jamaican Posse" organization that was started long ago by his ancestors who arrived in Jamaica long ago. He is also referred to as "The Lion Of Jamaica". 
 
He is always accompanied and assisted by his family Butler, Valet, Mr.Julius Griffiths, Who he views as a Mentor and Fatherly figure. 
 
Furious is still being trained and mentored by His Grandfather to achieve the level of Orisha Houngan Aswogwe priest and will one day in the future accomplish this to become one 
 
UPDATE iNFO: When a being known as "The Visitor" breached the dimensional barriers due to a weakened area, This being was able to traverse the barriers and enter our dimension. After a great battle in outer space at the hole in in our dimension connecting it to The Far realms, a Dimension of The Old Gods and totally madness and corruption. The Visitor came to search for an ancient artifact of great power that will help him bring his terrible masters to this dimension. His surprise attack on the sanctum sanatorium of Furious Styles almost succeeds if not for the intervention of The Wizard Shazam and his Marvel Family. Furious Styles own Grandfather who at the time was the Styles Family Master Orisha Hougan Asogwe Priest Supreme also helped to combat this evil but was struck down as he sacrificed himself to defeat this evil. The Titan Known as Raven and again Traci Thirteen and the future wife Mrs. Styles Ana Pavati helped as well to defeat The Visitor...with the foul menace defeated the only way Furious could protect the artifact from falling into evil hands was to leave this dimension all together..and he did leave, with Ana and their young child. before he left he created a power ring from his own power ring for his younger sister Taniyah who also inherited the talent for arcane power that was in their family blood-line.

Furious Styles was born a True Sorcerer. His power comes from the Blood pack made long ago. His abilities are purely instinctive and he has had an affinity for arcane forces from the day he was born. Due to the blood pact that was made long ago by his ancestor,this ability is passed down throughout his bloodline. Furious is a practitioner of Vodou,Hoodoo and Santeria magic. He also proficient in Divine, Arcane magic and is at a very experienced level in the arts. He possesses mystical and quasi-physical powers derived from his being born a sorcerer and his worship of his patron Deities the Orisha Gods. His training by His Grandfather and a few other-worldly beings and powerful mystical practitioners and masters of the arts has given him a well rounded command of the power of Arcane magic. It has been passed down through his bloodline, starting with the first Orisha Houngan asogwe Priest in his family bloodline, which he uses to defend his reality from otherworldly threats. 
 
 
Even though his power comes from within, he still needs to be trained in proper command and use of his power. As result of his mystic training from such an early age. Furious is capable of various mystical abilities, stemming from the innate resources of his body/mind/soul. Furious can channel magical energies to achieve various magical feats that he desires, such as telepathy, energy blasts, astral projection, the creation of materials (such as food and water), creating protective shields. Over exertion of these abilities can be taxing on his body if he over exerts himself. During his travels as a youth, he was taught by the 14th Dalai Lama at one time to conserve and replenish his body's energy. He was taught many meditative and other secretive mystical abilities and learned many secrets to life and spiritualism taught to him by the 14th Dalai Lama.

■Various other intermediate level spells: He can also use this mystical energy to cast spells of a near lesser finite variety. These spells seem to be quicker to perform but lesser in power than spells using divine energy granted to him by his worship of the Orisha Gods. Furious has used his magics altogether to become intangible, invisible, fly, alter his clothing through minor molecular control, absorb some forms of energy, control and manipulate elements, and more depending on what spells he chooses to cast. 
 
Being a multi-classed Orisha Houngan asogwe priest/Paladin and with the power granted by his Lawful Good aligned Divine Patron Deities. He has divinely-granted abilities over life or death, and is also able to repel or control undead creatures. Even destroying them utterly,or rebuking them. He also has the power to banish lesser demons and devils back to their plane of origin 
 
Being born a sorcerer, Furious has the potential to become even more powerful as he get's older with proper instruction and study. 
 
A better explanation of the power in the Styles family is as follows. Sorcery is the common term for the "Will and the Word" 
Essentially, a sorcerer concentrates their own strength through willpower, then releases it with a word. The word itself is not important, but how the completed effect is envisioned by the sorcerer is. (Much of the training and education of sorcerers is toward expanding the power of imagination.) Sorcery requires concentration, and channeling that much power can be physically tiring and very taxing. Sorcery takes just as much effort as the equivalent physical task. The uses of the Will and the Word are almost limitless. However, Furious has not yet reached that level as that of his Grandfather, and he is constantly trying to learn what is required. 
 
Sorcerers can "hear" when sorcery is used. This depends on the type of action being done (translocation is very loud), and how quickly it is done (you can reduce the "volume" by prolonging the action), and proximity/skill of other sorcery talented people. This sense manifests in a way very similar to real hearing, so loud noises can be used to mask the "sound" of using one's Will. 
 
 
Just like his Grandfather the former Green Mist (golden age version) Furious is able to create a form of green smoke,mist or vapors that conceal his whole body,Thus why he is referred to as the Green Mist. The effect works as a gaseous form spell. 
 
When Furious casts spells, Divine green energy tattoo's appear on his body. 
 
Divine Sources: 
Furious can channel divine energy from the worship of his Patron Lawful Good Orisha Gods and he can also channel some mystical beings in other dimensions to empower some of his spells. This can take the form of standard spells or just stating what he wants to occur and channeling some being to make it happen. He refuses to call upon the power of evil divine beings and evil other worldly entities. As he feels the use of any Black Magic will taint his soul and very fiber of his being. He primarily uses spells that are considered 'white magic', but he can use spells from other disciplines,examples such as elemental magic. He may at times use catastrophe or darker disciplines of magic (Bokor) only when there is no other option. 
 
Certain Divine Magicks give him resistance to some evil magical attacks. 
 
Like some Mystic practitioners of the Arts, Furious can communicate with animals and other mythical beasts. 
 
Blood Line Is Blessed 7 times: 
Because of the Blood Pact made long ago by his ancient ancestor with The Lawful Good faction of the Orisha Gods,an added bonus to this is guaranteeing to grant the Styles Family with a different power at birth. Because of this Furious is what is known in modern times as a Meta-Human. His meta human power is a "Luck factor" He has the ability to affect probability fields that give Him "good luck" at times. This allows incredibly unlikely events to happen in his favor. The power works this way..The more confidence Furious has in himself, the better his luck gets! This power is tied to his extreme self confidence. However, it does have a drawback! If he loses confidence in himself then this power will backfire and his luck get's extremely worse! His mood can also affect him. If in a bad mood, depressed or saddened emotional state. It affects his probability of bad luck occurring. This luck factor power also effects his spell casting probability, making spells he casts and creates work even more proficient with less chances of failing. 
 
He also shares a psychic link with members of his bloodline and they can communicate over great distances.The link is also passed on through genetics due to being blessed by the Orisha Pantheon. He can communicate with past ancestors and future descendants, but only if the future descendants contact him first. 
 
 
Skilled Martial Artist: 
Furious Styles is a skilled athlete and was trained in the martial arts used by Shaolin Monks of the Shaolin Monastery. During his young life while in his travels he has been taught skills by some of the worlds best masters in the craft. While not on par with someone such as Batman, Furious is still a great martial artists in his own right and can still hold his own and protect himself if needed in armed and unarmed combat These talents have assisted him time-to-time when incapable of using his sorcery or green lantern power ring.. Furious is a formidable opponent to any skilled attacker and continues to train regularly. 
 
During times of battle and when he casts spells he will exhibit the legendary "Hero-Light" around his head. 
 
 
During his years of study,Furious excelled academically in various educational studies.He was home schooled. He holds PhD's in Religion, Gnosticism, Philosophy, Metaphysical, Archeology, History, Journalism and Business Management studies. He is a Philosopher and Master expert in the study of The Art Of War By Sun Tzu. 
 
He is Multilingual speaking 7 different languages.

Green Lantern Power Ring 
 
Green Lantern Power Ring: 
 
This power ring was created differently from the other Green Lantern Corps members power ring. (which shall be explained in greater detail) 
 
With his Green Lantern Ring, he can do many things that a normal human cannot like fly, create solid light constructs, force fields, and anything the ring and his imagination will allow him to do.His Power ring does not to rely on The Central Power Battery to need to recharge (which is explained in greater detail) 
 
Indomitable Will (even when not wearing his ring,he has been trained to withstand some Psychic attacks, and Illusions due to his Mystical training 
 
STRENGTH LEVEL: Class 100, while using constructs created by the power ring. Furious is effectively able to lift/move tremendous weights far heavier than 100 tons with little effort. Without the ring Furious possesses the strength of a man his age,height and build who engages in regular exercise making him capable of press lifting at least his own weight. 
 
Furious costume is created by hard light from his power ring. 
 
FuriousStyles Green Lantern power ring is a unique one. It's tied to his DNA...meaning if Furious is killed in combat..the power ring will seek out his nearest blood relative to take up the mantle. if the ring is removed from his hand or his person, the ring will always seek to return to Furious no matter how contained or imprisoned it is. His ring is also set up with automatic offensive and defensive protocols that Furious actually believed himself to have programmed and installed into his power ring..However, that is debatable considering his power ring is not like the regular Green Lantern Corps rings..It is a highly advanced power ring and is able to communicate and advise Furious as to various courses of action. Furious still believes that He programmed his ring to act as if it has Artificial Intelligence. The power ring will alert Furious to dangerous situations when they arise and will question him or advise him to a course of action. The voice of his power ring sounds like the actor William Powell, star of the "The Thin Man" series of films and who is also one Furious favorite movie actors. A fact unknown to Furious is that the artificial intelligence his power ring exhibits has actually always been a part of it since it's creation. Unlike other power rings created by the Guardians. This particular power ring is sentient and intelligent! It is Alive! It is speculated that the ring may have already possessed this ability and have a mind of it's own due to the fact that it may have been created with a Starheart fragment. The power ring looks upon Furious as it's friend,and the bond between them is very strong. However, the ring has secretly been gaining more and more influence over Furious over the years, something he has not consciously been aware of. What actions may or may not occur from this in the future remains to be unseen. 
 
The true fact is that this power ring was in fact created from a fragment of the original Starheart Orb, something that Furious is not aware of. Ganthet and the Orisha God Supreme Creator God Ọlọ́run and the Goddess Rama Kushna collaborated in the process of creating this power ring. 
If this ring is indeed created from the Starheart,then it will posses the exact duplicate powers that the Original Green Lantern Alan Scott's own power ring has. The Wood weakness was removed when this particular ring was created.This ring seems to have unlimited magical potential powered by the Green Flame of Life but it has never been tested. 
 
The power ring does possess other powers known as Starheart empowerment and Starheart Mysticism. Furious has yet to unlock these powers on his own, or the Sentient intelligence of the power ring is holding back for reasons of its own. Regardless, this power ring is still an extremely powerful artifact. 
 
Starheart Mysticism: the mystical power and ability of the Starheart, an ancient artifact created by the Guardians of the Universe. The Starheart is capable of many magical and mystical powers and abilities that include but aren't limited to the following: 
 
Eternal Youth: The artifacts mystical properties also imbue one with seemingly eternal youth. 
Flight: allows one to fly at varying incredible speeds through the air. 
Energy Constructs: and create solid objects such as giant hands,walls, shields, force fields, battering rams, cages, slides, safety nets, ropes, chains, platforms, hammers, and grappling hooks. 
Protective Forcefields: He seemed to have a relatively permanent personal force-field that protected him from bullets and the like (described as an “invulnerability to metal”). 
Matter/Energy manipulation: The star-heart is capable of transmuting and changing energy and matter. The star-heart can also manipulate energy for more subtle effects like bending light to make the user invisible. 
Energy Projection: The star-heart can project different forms of energy that are both mystical and non-mystical.(electricity, magnetism, etc.) 
Reality Alteration: The star-heart can affect and change reality to a limited degree. 
Teleportation: allows its wielder to magically teleport across short or long distances in a flash of dazzling bright green light. 
 
Furious has since combined his power battery on a sub-atomic level to combine and meld with his power ring, The ring does not need to recharge now but it can receive extra power when close to a Blue Lantern Ring or other power sources (magical,etc..). He is not aware that his power ring sub-consciously advised Furious to do this making Furious believe that he did it own his own. The ring believes that Furious natural born Divine magical abilities make Furious the perfect being to wield it. 
 
Personality 
 
Furious has a very pure and noble soul. It has been said It is one of the most noble ever witnessed by upper beings/deities and other spiritually connected beings of the universe. He is the classic example of the epic hero. He possesses outstanding courage, chivalry, great skill, resourcefulness and a distinctive sense of honor and justice. He is a born leader and has brilliant Military skills and inspires fierce loyalty in people who work and befriend him. He is very Intelligent, decisive, strong willed, quick witted and analytical thinker. He always thinks before he acts. When expressing himself, he can be taciturn and very reserved in communicating. He will tell you what you need to know, not what you want to hear. He is dynamic and idealistic. He can be stubborn at times and he can possesses a fierce temper that can lead to occasional explosive outbursts of anger if he loses his focus. Fortunately, he tends to calm quickly and he usually demonstrates a cool, calm and suave personality. He is a master in the Art of War by Sun Tzu 
 
He Is very charismatic and silver-tongued, very eloquent when he speaks. He is a perfect gentleman and has always been good with 
the ladies and gives off a sense of charisma which most women tend to find captivating. Many of the ladies that have entered his life made clear their attraction to him.When in battle, He can amaze and inspire in times of need.

The Black Lion Jamaican Posse 
 
The Black Lion Jamaican Posse is a Military force and protectors of The Styles Family Bloodline. It came into being and was created long ago by an ancestor of Furious whose name was D'angelo Styles, he was alsp known as the Sorcerer Pirate known as "The Black Fury" 
 
In 1655 when the English captured the Island of Jamaica, a Young slave named named D'angelo Styles who was raised as a practitioner of the Orisha/Vodun religion, was released by his Spanish Master, who in turn encouraged him to fight against the British rule. D'angelo and many other slaves fled into the mountains, joining those who had previously escaped from the Spanish to live with the Taínos.These runaway slaves, who became known as the Jamaican Maroons, fought the British during the 18th century. D'angelo rose quickly among his kinsmen as respected leader and became their first Houngan and Doctor. D'angelo organized many slave revolts and help rescue and free many slaves for a few years,While learning more and more and honing his skills as a Master of the Arcane Arts. While on an attempt to interrupt a slave raid against the British slaver ships, a chance meeting with Captain Henry Morgan, changed D'angelo Styles Life forever, He was captured by the Privateer and forced to serve on his ship. After some time, Captain Morgan saw that D'angelo was much more intelligent and courageous than others of his African Race.. He found D'angelo to have leader ship abilities and a strange power about him. During a raid of a Spanish fleet, the tables were turned on Captain Morgan when it was learned that it was a set up to capture Henry Morgan and his Ship. If not for the quick thinking of D'angelo by casting a spell to raise an unexpected eerie mist that allowed for Captain Morgan's ship and crew to escape unharmed. Once Morgan saw the power D'angelo possessed and it was the reason for their escape..Henry granted him his freedom, but still kept him on the ship and made him his ship's Doctor. Captain Morgan inquired about D'angelo's strange power and D'angelo told Morgan of his power of the Orisha Gods he served.. Morgan often relied on D'angelo's skills to overcome many obstacles. 
 
D'angelo had many adventure's with Captain Morgan and earned the name "The Black Fury" for his battle prowess and superior intellect for military tactics. When Captain Morgan was Knighted in 1674 he released D'angelo and gave him lands and gold. D'angelo then settled into a more quiet life and married a young maid of another former slave of a British household and started a family..and continued the tradition of training his first born son, in the ways of the Orisha. It was then D'Angelo felt the need to start a personal security force known as " The Fist of The Black Lion Jamaican Posse" he then also started searching for other former female African slaves who shared his talents for the arcane. 
 
He then created a Another arm of The Black Lion.." The Breath of The Black Lion" Very experienced in the arts of the arcane and chosen handmaidens skilled in the arts of the arcane and defense, they were a ceremonial betrothed/bodyguards of The Styles Family Master Orisha Houngan Asogwe Priest who at the time was D'angelo. 
 
He then at that time searched for more Older more senior African men who were to be made into "The Mind of The Black Lion" These older men who specialized in the arcane as well but also powers of the mind! Who served as advisors to the family leader.These older men were devastating in the powers of psionics and they also researched many other disciplines as well and other secrets of the universe and other dimensions, higher divine worlds. These men were rarely seen as they answered only to The Styles Family Master Orisha Houngan Asogwe Priest. 
 
With these Three Arms of The Black Lion Jamaican Posse, Every generation, there own sons and daughters took up the positions of their parents and grandparents when there time had come. This is a very selective and secretive organization. Many secretive rituals and other manner of ceremonies are performed and witnessed only by The Styles Family bloodline.
