    Marius is the only child of Wilhelm Fortuyn, world-renowned business tycoon, and Magda Fortuyn, famous for her operatic career and marriage to Wilhelm. Even with the billion dollar fortune, Wilhelm and Magda instilled working ethics and morals to the young boy, teaching him the value of people and philanthropy. Marius grew to be a generous and kind young man, working jobs for himself instead of relying on his family's fortune.<br />

    Wilhelm passed away, followed by Magda 6 months later, leaving Marius to inherit the billion dollar empire his father left behind. During the time his mother was dying, he occupied himself with helping others, learning from his parents that in order to stay happy, you needed to make others happy. He met a beggar man in his travels and gave him company on a cold night, spending the hours talking with the man. Little did Marius know, this beggar man was actually King Helios, who was testing people around the Earth to search for his royal knights. King Helios was pleased with Marius's kind heart that he blessed him with the 'Heart of Gold', a special emblem which gave Marius the status of the Golden Knight.
