Mysterious disguise…what possibly could be there..? <br />
A masquerade for told when one wears to hide ones true self…<br />
To what extent do we portray to conceal the false truths<br />
Even though one reaches out with wishful assurance…<br />
What is it that we ourselves are trying to attain?<br />
Is it assured that if we reach…<br />
Will there be something on the other side?<br />
I ask ever so with this fractured heart and soul<br />
And wonder more when this time is to cease<br />
Should I grasp the very seconds in time to one day feel my worth?<br />
I crave this immoral lust for knowledge that still hinders me<br />
As if it were poison or venom within as you will<br />
Eagerly to affirm my existence with myself<br />
Sadden that I must put on this show<br />
Afraid of who or what may lie underneath<br />
I pray for one day I can take this off<br />
And that for once the true person that dwells beneath<br />
Is this human being…with untold futures that lie ahead<br />
Will flourish into something unbelievable<br />
