    Dante grew up four hundred years prior to Edward Elric time. She was a Countess, courted by many. That was when she was innocent, having no spark of maliciousness.<br />
    <br />
    Then she met a great Alchemist, who taught her alchemy and how to use it.<br />
    The Alchemist whispered words of love to her, but never truely loved her. Needless to say, Dante had been wooed over.<br />
    <br />
    The problem: Dante was engaged to a young man, and their funds were ever so slowly, wilting away due to the terrible war.<br />
    <br />
    The alchemist hated to see his lover suffer, so he vowed to create the 'Red Stone' to make her dreams come true.<br />
    Being as all three were powerful alchemists, they would all atempt to create the Stone.<br />
    <br />
    They succeded, but it took all of her Alchemist's strength to acomplish.<br />
    In the heat of the moment, she transfered his soul to the body of the other man.<br />
    <br />
    Problem solved.<br />
    They came into great wealth and had a child, but when the boy was at the tender age of eighteen, he died from mercury poisoning.<br />
    <br />
    Her Alchemist tried to reserect him, but failed, leaving her with a monster.<br />
    Her Alchemist was so horrified that her left her with but a tiny fragment of the Stone, and the monster.<br />
    <br />
    Dante's mind shattered. She vowed to find a family, a family of immortal creatures that would never leave her. As four hundred years went by, she was jumping body to body quite more frequently.<br />
    <br />
    And she found that was all she cared about. She cared not for money, wealth or political power-She just wanted the high the Stone gave her.<br />
    <br />
    She had became the monster.<br />
