• Artist Info: My Latin teacher says I'm both Left- and Right-Brained. I love to draw things, and I guess I'm pretty good, but I can also absorb facts like a sponge [and tend to spew them out in a very unnecessarily long post] which is why my school grades are decent at most sweatdrop [This is what I will mostly be doing for the next few paragraphs...]
Written communication [in an informational essay or storytelling sense] are very much fail. I write like I speak, and I speak pretty good. Aside from that, I can't write for poody-doody. I'm also very glad to be using a computer to write what I think, because I normally have to stop and rethink what I want to say. Not to mention I stutter sometimes and trip over my words. So I'm pretty speech-retarded. Thank you, internet, for saving my reputation. A bit. =)
Anime/Manga is a favorite, but I don't believe them superior in any way to American television. They just happen to have something I enjoy in them, and happen to be from Japan. I don't know very many American shows that catch my interest, save the edumacational Discovery and History channel shows.
Music on the other hand is a problem. Yes, I love Vocaloid, but not just because it's Vocaloid. I like how the voices sound different than people. Not to mention it's freakishly easy to find and download. It's not like any song will do, though. I love the ones with lots of composition in the music, like, lots of instruments throughout the whole song. The voice doesn't have to be anything in particular, but it has to suit the song. Preferably in a tone that doesn't make my ears bleed. The translation doesn't matter, but I guess it's nice to know what they're singing about.
As for 'American' music, if it's overplayed, or something about the voice or composition bugs me, I just won't listen to it. The radio is no help, because the ads aggravate me enough to just not listen to it at all. I've got an mp3 with shuffle, so I've got no inclination to listen to people try to market things to me. Oh, and the rate of new music is horribly slow. In one year, I'll hear more new songs in the Vocaloid niche than the radio. Quite disappointing, really :< Vocaloid has a ranking, daily, for new songs. I don't see one for any of the American music. If there is one, please direct me to it, because I'd love to hear more songs in English. =)
