Mad Hatter Disease is just a nickname for Mercury Poisoning.<br />
Back in ze old days (19th century), hat makers uses mercury solution for fur products, eliminating anime pelts before adding onto the hat. <br />
The longer exposed to mercury as months pass, the more insane they become. <br />
<br />
Hence the term, "Mad as a Hatter."<br />
