I am the first real Shinigami that Ichigo ever encountered, and to save both Ichigo and myself I transferred my Shinigami powers to him. I am currently still working for the the 13 Court Guard Squad of the Soul Society, acting as Ichigo's mentor. I am currently hiding myself in a gigai from Hollows until my strength returns - all the while coaching Ichigo and helping him with his Soul Society missions. I also put up a flawless charade around my class mates, and am still trying to adapt to as well as understand many things about the world of the living. <br />

I was initially born into the lower class, I retained my modesty even as an adopted member of nobility. I am graceful and respectable yet I choose to talk to ordinary people. Although I tell Ichigo that I am nearly ten times older than he, I am endearingly clueless about the ways of the modern living world (since the Soul Society resembles Japan's Edo period). I was initially unable to figure out a simple juice box, and I learned to speak modern Japanese through the manga I read. According to Tite Kubo, when the semester final exam scores were announced, my rank was 302 out of 322. With the exception of Japanese, I failed most of my exams... <br />

I am an accomplished actress, being able to act my way through a number of tough situations; such as getting out of trouble with school teachers or managing to get a room at Ichigo's house (much to his embarrassment that his own family would fall for such a lame act). Ichigo seems to be the only one to always pick up on it and accuse me of pretending. I also seem to enjoy drawing (I swear I do it better than people might say!); my drawings of people and hollows seem to resemble rabbits and teddy bears, respectively. I love Chappy the Rabbit (and basically anything rabbit-themed) and was rather put out when I was unable to obtain Chappy Soul Candy because of its popularity in Soul Society (although I was able to obtain it during the Arrancar arc). I also likes to climb to high places and my favorite foods are eggs, cucumbers and strawberries. *yum*<br />
<br />
My attitude towards Ichigo varies. At times, I am a bickering adversary, yet at other times I worry about him and tend to dispatch advice like a wise old sage. Despite these quarrels, we have a deep understanding of each other, often being the only ones able to talk each other out of a funk. <br />
<br />
There is a deeply serious side to me as well, best shown during the time I was taken back to Soul Society for giving my powers to Ichigo. In my time in Soul Society, which I spent in various holding cells, I constantly could be found lost within my own fate or in deep thought. Ichigo and I also have similar feelings of loss and guilt. Ichigo thought he was responsible for his mother's death and I tend to feel responsible for the death of one of my commanding officers, Kaien Shiba, and considered Ichigo's drastic life change my fault. <br />
