      Hello, greetings, salutations, etc.

To define myself, "ambivalent" would be the most apt term. At best, I try to portray myself as a levelheaded, mirthful and amiable man to others, and at worst I exhibit a jaded, callous and aggressive demeanor. Usually, I'm taciturn to all but the closest of friends in general; save for common cordialities, and out of necessity to accomplish whatever I endeavor to do at the moment. While I cannot always control how others will treat me; for better or worse, I can always control my reactions to them; for better or worse.

My philosophy on life is neither optimistic, nor pessimistic; it's realistic. The human spirit can be as boundless as the sky, and conversely, bottomless as an abyss. We are capable of demonstrating extraordinary feats of knowledge and compassion to one another, and yet we can inflict violence and hardship on each other for the most trivial of reasons inconceivable. Every person must come to terms to the ever-changing circumstances around them, their talents, fears, aspirations and prejudices, but above all; themselves.

For those of you who're wondering why my username is what it is, back in 2004, I was at a standstill on a username, so I took the names of my two, most favorite fictional series at the time, and decided that would suffice. Needless to say, things can grow on oneself after a while. Furthermore, I'm not too keen on paying progressive increments of 10k for just changing a line of text; it's ridiculous.

I am an ardent fan of video game soundtracks and of the genre in general; a genre that I don't believe receives the level of recognition it deserves, at least when compared to its cousins the movie or theatrical soundtracks. As time passes, I think the genre of video game music will slowly gain more prominence and popularity through exposure to the public, and perhaps the genre will elevate to mainstream status someday. In the meanwhile, I intend to expand my collection as much as possible.<br />

While on the topic of music, I appreciate other genres as well, such as classical, orchestral, rock, jazz and others, but it depends usually on the specific song in question (regardless of it's genre) that piques my interest.

Presently, I am in the midst of building a website; YesterGames.net. YesterGames.net will feature video games from previous generations of video gaming history, video games that I've played at some point throughout my life, and have opted to share my opinions about. Eventually, YesterGames.com will be unveiled, and displayed prominently for the public to visit once it is completed.
