• She could see his sparkling eyes, and his sweet smile as her feet pounded the ground, running and running as fast as they could, until they reached the thing they wanted the most, fitting in and feeling loved.
She could feel his warm breath ripple down her spine as she hugged him, never wanting the moment to go away, all of her fears, worries, and scaredness vanished, if only for a moment. Her long black hair swayed in the wind, as if making a shield around them, letting nothing touch or harm them.
But she knew that the moment wouldn't last forever, and that her family was moving to Oklahoma, and she would never see her beloved New Yorker boyfriend, all this time she hoped he would ask her to marry him, but something was between them, a sheer drop-off to nothingness, and if she tried to cross it, she would ruin the relationship, as she fought to hold back tears, she grasped his shirt, but she was too late, he let go, and walked away, "No! Don't leave me! Please!" Annie begged, tears breaking through to her face,"Please.." She wimpered.
But he kept walking, just before he vanished, he turned around, and looked Annie in the eye, Annie could see his eyes were clouded with agony, as if he just broke his own heart, he turned, and walked away.
    *********************(Time Passes)******************************
When Annie reached her little cabin of a home, she heard her dad yelling at the top of his lungs, like he always does when he's drunk, and he stormed outside and decided to take his anger out on Annie,"IF IT WEREN'T FOR YOU, THING, WE WOULD BE RICH, WE WOULD BE HAPPY AND I WOULDN'T BE STUCK WITH YOUR STUPID MOTHER!" Annie's dad screeched at her, pounding on any part of her that he could reach, Annie yowled in agony as she fell to the ground and with each hit, she curled up into a ball, with warm tears tumbleing down her face as fast as they could.
THUD! Annie's father pounded her chest, and blood burst out of her leg as he pounded it to breaking point. "STOP! Sto-o-o-p!" Annie wailed, then, as though the acohal wore off, he stoped, and headed to bed, leaving beragled Annie, there to rot.
Trevor stood in the shadow, staring in awe, holding a small case in his hand, but then gave himself a good shake, and ran over to help her, Trevor put his hand under her, and picked her up, and carried her all the way to his house, placed her on his bed, and put the little case on the end of the bed, on top of a note.
    **************************************************************
As Annie began to gain her alertness, she notice that there was a tiny, velvet blue case, with a note on it. Annie sat up and stretched over to it and the note read:
    Dear Annie,
Inside the little ring case, is a four thousand dollar ring, I bought it for you, I bought it because I love you, and i would die without you... so,
    will you marry me?
    Love,
    Trevor
Tears of joy trickled down Annie's face, as she said I will, I will over and over inside her head, Annie bent down, and picked up the blue case, opened it , the sun shone done on the dimond, and it sparkled, nearly as much as Annie's heart did.
