• The dream begins almost immediately in a vast forest in what appears to be autumn. I am about 5 years on in the dream, perhaps younger and I am walking this trail made by feet that have been on it multiple times. Alongside me and whose hand I am holding is an elder of my tribe. She has long white hair that she wears in two braids held in place by leather. She is clothed in a beautiful buckskin dress with some quill work on the chest. She is leading me throught this forest, all the while explaining to me something in our language, but unfortunately, I can not recall what she was saying. I am looking at the forest itself as she seemed to urge me to look to it. The trees and the bushes that surround us are at first very oddly shaped, but as I take a much deeper look into it, I can see that they have taken the forms of deer. The kind that inhabit prairie and mountainous Canada consist of White Tail Deer, Mule Deer, Elk, and Moose. As I look at them, a wind picks up and the shapes of this deer forest seem to move with the wind, almost walking. I grow nervous, but the elder who leads me looks at me with a comforting expression on her face. It is here that I can see that she has the most amazing face, so alive, peaceful, loving and joyful at once. It was as if all the positive expressions one can feel existed in her face. I was calmed down. We continued until we got to the end of the trail. She motioned me to walk the rest of the way out of the forest. I wanted her to go with me, but she looked saddened and would not go with me. I woke up soon after leaving the forest.
