• Huh? Oh, you're back. Come to listen to me rant some more, huh? Well, this is going to be good.....I really don't want anyone to listen to my secret plan, but, since you're here, I might as well tell you.

Last time, I told you about the information I got on how to allow myself to be able to walk in the sun once again.

But...and here's the hard part, I have to get the blood of one of my ancestors, an elder member of one of the three clans.

I decided to look for Marius, an elder of the Akashan clan, and one of the children who had a hand in her death. He was also the one who created the vampire Lestat, if I recall correctly.

Well, he graciously gave me a bit of his blood....but, the sun still burns me. I did, however learn of the whereabouts of an elder I didn't know about.

Marius said that she died long ago, but I have reason to believe that she still lives. She belongs to no clan, and she is the oldest of us all.

    The ultimate elder.

She was the one who gave her blood to Akasha and she was the one who bit Markus Corvinus, when she was in bat form.

The only one who could rival her powers is Dracula, who, from what I learned from Marius, apparently was her former lover. They were both born the way they were, and, therefore the strongest.

I have been searching for her for days, and to no avail. She doesn't want to be found, I guess. That, and I can only hunt her at night. But, she, like her lover, can be out in the daylight.

I always knew Bram Stoker was full of it. As excellent of a writer as he is.

I have looked in all the major cities on the planet, but, no sign of any unusual vampiric activity. Just the usual missing person's case, or the ususal animal found slaughtered in the barn.

There is no way in hell that she has trancended the thirst. No one can. So, she must be feeding. I have to find her victims. It's the only way I know of to track her.

Marius came to me the other night, after I had asked him for help in locating this elder.

"You refuse to change your mind about her?"

"What do you think?" I snapped irritably.

He just sighed, and laid a hand on my shoulder. "Then, she will let you find her. But, I am warning you now, my friend, she is not what you will expect. Treat her with the respect an elder diserves, lest she feeds on you."

    "She can do that?"

"Yes. The species of her prey matters not to her. Although, she does hate vampires. Especially the ones that harm humans, or feed recklessly."

    "Even you?"

"Not the Akashan elders, so much. Mostly the ones who dared to wake her lover. She blames them for his death at the hunter's hand."

    "And what about my clan?"

"She hated Markus. She tried to take him under her wing, but he was too concerned with his brother. She thought that was understandable, but not the slaughter of humans when he didn't need to feed. That made her abandon him."

    "So....she might not like me?"

Marius shrugged. "She might. She's not one to judge people by the sins of their forefathers."

    "Lucky me."

And with that, Marius left. Come to think of it, I did notice some weird killings of vampires on the outskirts of Moscow. And some outside of Paris too....maybe......could it be?
