• As the boy crawled through the deathly white cold forest, he giggled as the tips of his toes tingled as he went through the snow. Looking for his family, the innocent youngling unaware of the world as frostbite began to enclose the tips of his fingers. Laying on the freezing ground, the cold winter grey enveloping him. He watches scared, confused, alone. Only the shadows dancing in the sparking moonlight to confort his pleading cries. Slowly a tall dark figure limped over to the young boy.

The creautres eyes seemed as a fire flowing to the toddlers young, unfaltering stare. It dragged itself over and laid next to the innocent youth. Hair as grey as the moon, crimson eyes once youthful and happy now flickering, weary, and depressed. Lovely legs now blackened from some fire. Slender arms gashed and brusied as if fangs had dug into the flesh. It was a young woman, pallid as a silver stream. The life in her eyes flickered and blanked out. She had passed on way before her time.

The young boy cried a soft gentle word. Sadly he realized the truth, it was his mom. She had told him about troubling times and how she was seeing a man to help. Since his father died before he was born, it was okay with him. He thought about the morning and realized his mom was acting strange, like she knew something omnious was coming. That must be why she said to go to the safe place in the forest now... the boy pondered. But who could have killed her? Why would someone need to kill her?

Tears fell as a strident scream rang throughout the winter foresty night. Then the boy heard a click like a light being turned on. He saw something distant in the forest but was too cold to move. Suddenly the thing was closer and the forest was set aflame, the child and his mother's dead body inside it.
