• “Wait what? Where are you going? Get back here!” I screamed until it felt as if my lungs were to burst. It was dead silent and pitch black, but yet a voice came to me, “My son, come help us, we are trapped in the land of Twilight, please come save us.”
Thoughts rang through my head, they were cries for help from, mom, dad, and sis. And all my friends too, “Help us, please Copper, help us.” I tried to cry out to them, but no words came from my mouth, not even a noise. I told myself somehow, I’ll save them and defeat the evil beast who killed his friends and family. A dim light came into view, was I even alive? The light grew bigger and brighter, until it expanded my whole vision, then the light grew dim to reveal a dark, forest. “Where am I?” I spoke, testing to see if I could speak.
The forest had deep entangled vines all over, and trees were withered dry. There also was a path, sitting to the right of my vision, dare I follow it, I thought to myself. As I climbed to my feet I noticed that the white armor had turned to a dull rust color, and the sword was broke in half, revealing only a tiny rust bitten dagger. “Well this armor is done in, it’s even cracked, but how?” I asked to the empty trees around me. I decided to take off the armor, for it was heavily damaged and seemed to be worthless. “Well if I follow that path it should lead me out of the forest, seeing how they wouldn’t put a path in here for no reason.” I finished dusting myself off, and began to walk down the dusty little trail.
It was some time before I found that I was becoming pretty hungry, “Well at least I’m in a forest, there should be plenty to eat, but still I haven’t seen anything since I started on this trail.” I then stopped to hear if any animals were around, for awhile I stood there listening for anything, but the only sound I could really hear, was my stomach growling. “Man I could go for some rabbit or deer right now.” Soon after I began walking again, so if there was a town ahead, I could get some food and water, or possibly find out where I am.
I walked for quite some time again, until I stumbled when hearing a slight noise in the brush beside me, a rabbit? No it’s too noisy to be anything like a rabbit. But hunger forced me to leap at the noise of the dry hickory bush, and grab whatever it was. It put up a good fight until I dragged it out into the opening. “No no no no don’t hurt me, don’t hurt me, please!” the little creature shrieked. “Huh? You talk? What are you anyway and where can I get some food around here?” I hungrily barked.
“Yes yes yes yes I talk, I talk, you don’t know what I am? Well I’m a Nah Nah! And we have food at our little campground.” The Nah Nah replied. “Can you take me there? I haven’t had food in a long time, and I request also a drink, water would be nice.” I spoke rather calmly now. “You promise you don’t hurt me, please?” It’s little voice came again. “Yeah now can we please go get some food?” I asked again. “Sure just follow me, okay? Oh my name’s Kigogo, what’s yours?” “Mine’s Copper, by chance you know what this place is called right?” “You don’t know? We are in the Forest of the Twilight, yes yes.” “ I see, anyway can we go yet?” “Yes, yes, come come follow me.” And we started off the trail and into the woods.
