• There once were a few Sillies
Living in the land of Squee
Who kept their hearts wide open
And their pockets full of glee.
They lived inside a secret land
    Of candy and rainbows
    With jello lakes and trampolines
    And ducks with blue afros.
All they ever did was play
    Their funny little games
    Eat gingerbread and fly around
And give all things new names.
With orange hair or purple hair
    Or funny button noses
Or crimson wings or lemon wings
    Or lips colored like roses.
All sillies were so different and
They knew that this was right
'Cause they could have so much
more fun if they differed in sight.
    One small Silly named Twinkle
Was quite new on a fun day
A day when all the young ones
Try and try to fly away.
Not very far, just far enough
To get a taste of air
Of cotton candy clouds and of
    The chocolate mountains fair.
She tried so hard to beat her wings
    And get up very high
But almost right away she fell
Right down out from the sky.
Her friends left her behind as in
    the sky they did assemble
    Just leaving her alone
Her gumdrop lips began to tremble.
She thought at first that when she flew.
    Quite easy it would be,
For all the other little Sillies
    Flew right out of Squee.
Poor Twinkle cried her sea green tears
    And turned her pretty head
And her blue wings slumped softly as
She heard a voice that said...
"Don't be sad, my little one,
For I was just like you.
    I couldn't fly for a long time.
    Long after up I grew.
So don't give up, just try real hard
For soon you will fly high.
Just think you can and pretty soon.
    You'll touch the starry sky."
    Twinkle looked around real quick
For the soft voice that spoke.
And when she did, she saw a very
    Silly looking bloke.
He had teal hair and funny wings
    So jagged and so pink
And eyes that looked like they were quick
    Drawn on in yellow ink.
She smiled at him and thought of heights
    Of flying to the moon
And thought of how the wind must taste
    On chocolate mountain Roon.
So now her heart would not give up
    Its failed attempts to fly
    As the other Sillies
Came down quickly from the sky.
They laughed and yelled about the fun
They had up in the air
But Twinkle didn't hear them now or
    See their funny stares
For she was slowly rising as
Her eyes were shut real tight.
Her wings were not yet beating but
    Shone like frosty moonlight.
Quick she shot so way up high
    And into milkshake space
With a laugh that shook the stars
    And lit her beaming face.
    She landed with warm happiness
    Down by the Gummy Sea
Her friends said they were sorry, she
    forgave them with sheer glee.
They all held hands and skipped away
    Together till the end;
And all the little Sillies learned
To try from their new friend.
