• He looked like he just got up. His hair was pointing in every direction possible. He was rubbing his eye with his hand. His white button down shirt was falling off his shoulders and his black pants were wrinkled. His feet were bare as he leaned on the door frame.

"Lovely first impresion, Deiz"the queen coldly said.

What do you mean 'first im...' oh" he finally noticed I was there, "Who's the girl?" that was all he could say?

"This is Marcy," How did she know my name? "She will be working with you." I don't remember telling her my name!

"How can that be? I've never had an aprentice before!" Seriously, when did I say my name?!

"I know, but that's what she said."

"How did you know my name?"

"It was obvious." What?! How is my name obvious?! "Well Deiz, just start by showing her around."

How is Marcy an obvious name?

"What's up with the face? You look like your thinking really hard."

"What? Oh, nothing." I didn't notice I was ignoring eveything. I didn't even notice the queen left.

"I'm going to change. Just stay here and..... don't touch anything."

The room was calm and relaxing with soft tan and burgandy walls and soft burgandy carpet. There was a tan couch with a lightwood coffeetable. There was a little plant and cup on the table. In one corner there were two book shelves. In the other there was a desk with a computer shoved to the back to make room for millions of papers that were skattered over the whole thing. Next to that there was a fieling cabnet with one lamp and more papers on it. I sat down on the couch to wait.

When he came back he looked much better. His hair was all going the right way and fell slightly in his face; he was still rinning his fingers through it. His white shirt was fixed but inly two buttons were done. Over that he had a black jacket with the cuffs of the white shirt folded over. He had a studded belt and a chain over his black pants and iron straps on his boots.

As he ran his hands through his hair I noticed a ring in his ear with a little diamond in it. Around his neack was a diamond neacklace. In the chain and in the iron of his boots I saw the glint of more diamonds. On his right hand ring finger was a simple diamond ring. "What's with all the diamonds?"

He smiled at me and I saw in his left fang another diamond. "I like to sparkle."

    "What, are you gay?"

No, but ladies love it just like you will love me soon too."he smirked. I know I'm gonna hate that smirk.

I got up and walked twards the door, "Yeah, when pigs fly. Wait," I truned around and said, "do you fly?"

    xXx

He showed me around the city. Aperently, everyone gets a job as soon as they are old enough; and all jobs are assigned by the girl that told me to go to Deiz. Every night a number of vampires would go to one of the ciries and have their fill of human blood. I don't think I'm ever going to get used to that. they rotate every nght for two weeks.

The city was amazing! There were parks for the children to play in and adults to sit and read a book or something. There were cluds and cafe's where they serve-of course- human blood. Amazingly, they even have internet down here. And here, no one has to worry about their chldren because no one would do anything because their numbers are still so few.

We stopped at one of the stores.

"You need new clothes." Deiz explained as we walked into a clothing store.

"What for? I have new clothes at home."

"Couple of things about that," He held up one finger,"First, your clothes probably don't match our style." he held up another finger,"and second, your never going back to that home.

Just as I was going to say something back, a girl walked in. She looked to be only thirteen.

"Ah, Deiz. I haven't seen you in a long time. Where have you been?" She was short with bright, bubbly green eyes. Her black hair spiked out in every direction. She had a black jacket over a pink shirt. Two belts over jeans and boots.

"I've been working. there's not a lot of time for me to be having fun recently."

"So who's this?" She asked pointing to me.

    "My apprentice, Marcy."

"But you never had an aprentice before. And besides, your not old enough to need an assistant and he queen and her second aren't going anywhere soon. What could this mean?" she had a confused look on her face.

"I don't know, but I don't like it. Anyways, back to what we are here for; she needs new clothes." Finally they got to something I understand. What were they talking about anyways?

Suddenly she was taking my measurments and pulling me into another room. She walked into another room and came back with a pile of clothes. I changed and walked out. Emediaty, she wasin front of me pulling the ribbons out of my hair and replacing them with different ones. She changed the ribbon my charm was on and replaced it around my neck. Then she made me turn around so she could pu something else aroud my waist. Finally she put me in front of a mirror and stepped back.

My curls were now pulled back by bright blue ribbons that matched the one around my neck with my black pendant on it. I had a black spaghetti strap shirt with a black corset over it with blue laces laceing it together. Under that I had a sleeveless fishnet shirt. A black skirt with black and grey toe socks and black flats finished it off. I looked so different.

"It' amazing what she can do, isn't it?" Deiz was standing behind me also looking in the mirror. "The blue really brings your eyes out." He had a hand on each of my shoulders and was leaning down to where his head almost reasted on my shoulder. Normally I would have pushed him away but I was too distracted. He was right; I had never noticed the bright blue color of my eyes. I looked over at him into deep honey colored, searching eyes." Like looking into perfectly cut ice, your eyes are."

"Okay, your grossing me out. Get out of my shop." the girl snapped me out of the trance Deiz seemed to have put me in. I still didn't know her name.

"Fine, we'll just come back later for the rest of her clothes. Se ya, Chelsi." With that, we walked out. I just heard her mumble something like "Love-sick freaks".
