• He came out of nowhere to the court of pure souls, determined to conquer a captain's seat in The Gotei 13. Stared after with laughter, he continued to the headquarters of the main man in charge; captain of the 1st Gotei squad; Shigekuni Yamamoto-Genryūsai. As he stood before him, he challenged him for his position. As those around started to laugh even louder, Yamamoto-Genryūsai accepted his challenge. And so it was done, soon the place was filled with bystanders as the two were just about to start their duel. As the fight grew fiercer, soul society shook to its foundation. But alas, although the young shinigami was strong, he didnt stand a chance and was soon brought down by his opponents greater power. As the fight was over, he was helped back onto his feet by the one that strook him down. Respectful and impressed by the young shinigami's guts and power, Yamamoto-Genryūsai offered him a probational position as captain of the 5th Gotei squad. In the hopes to be the permanent succesor of the previous 5th Gotei squad captain; Aizen Sousuke, the young shinigami swore to put his all into it..
