• I only managed to scatter my mind back into its original purpous and lightly sprang to my feet. I ran from the deep end of the cave to the mouth of it and looked out to sea. As thought, a ship was one days mark from landing here. I ran back and pulled him up.
" See? We have no time!" I yelled, pointing at the ship.
" I cant tell what they're thinking." He murmured. That gave me an idea.
" Stay here." I told him sternly.
I closed my eyes and became as immobile as stone. The image of the ship flew into my mind as the details of their load became more pronounced. I opened my eyes and then staggered.
" Goldfire! You ok? What happened?"
" Damn it! I can see what they're carrying."

The ship had a half-dozen cannons all loaded along with a hundred men-at-arms. Archers and mages were alined on the edje of the ship, and I saw one looking straight into my eyes. I grabbed his hand and pulled him to the far end of the cave.
" Stop running around. They wont touch you."
" I'm worried about what they're going to do. That ship might look like pirates, but the items it holds is clearly out of porpotion of that context." I gulped and looked at him.
" Don't worry, love, we're going to survive."
    " And if we don't?"
" Then i'll make sure to find you in the next life."

I bit my lip and thought about that. If it came to that he would be in danger, I would have to use that power. With the cost of my life. Ressurection would be my only hope then. Hopefully it wouldn't come to that. I sat on the floor and burried my face into my knees.
" Don't worry," He soothed. " We are going to make it." His hand stroked my arm.
I looked up into his face.
" Forever. Nothing is going to seperate me from you ever."
    " Thats all I want."
He pressed me tight against his body, and I hugged him back. We both stared out to the mouth of the cave, all the while that my head was on his stone shoulder.
" If I have to use a sacrifice power, but only if one of us would be in mortal danger, would you be ablle to ressurect me?" I asked him.
His body went stiff, and he grabbed my shoulders and made me look into his face.
" If it came to that, well, yes, I would. But tell me, how would you look like then?" He arched one eyebrow.

" Hmmm, I don't know, because I never tried it. But I guess it would be better than the cursed one."
" I guess I'll have to check to see." He smiled that perfect smile that could only make my heart beat fast if I had an active one.
" I think I can picture it in my head, how you would look like." I heard a smile in his voice.

He pulled me closer, more tightly, onto his body, and pressed his face to mine with the gentlest of pressures. We stayed like that for some time, untill his kiss became more feirce, more demanding. Who knew how long we had? Who knew if we would be together again?

I didn't care at the time that I had no answer.
I could only feel him on me.
The only thing that mattered then,
    Was him.
