• Then you finally came back with tears in your eyes

    tab Hmm.

To bad I didn’t love you anymore.

tab Harsh, but I’m keeping that.

tab Homeroom is so boring, that everyone brought something to do. Some girls are painting their nails or applying makeup to there face, Some boys are throwing paper airplanes and spitting spitballs at each other, and I brought my song book and I’m trying to finish my song. The funny thing about this teacher, Ms. Warner, is that she’s the total opposite of Ms. Smith, the only things she notices are talking, cheating, and people playing footsie under the tables. Everything else, she ignores.
tab When Ms. Warner mentioned the poet Michael Drayton, it reminded me of Michael, and how he’s been acting strangely lately. He’s been looking, acting, and talking differently than usual. He’s been hanging around the wrong people, and has been aggressive lately. His choice of clothing is like it came out of a dumpster. He’s just, so, different, and I’m getting worried.
tab “‘You will, and will not; what a coil is here. I see your craft, now I perceive your drift, and all this while I was mistaken there; your love and hate is this, I now do prove you: you love in hate, by hate to make me love you.’ What do you think he’s trying to say?”
tab Grace Mill raised her hand.
    tab “Yes Grace?”
tab “I think,” Grace thought for a minute, then continued. “I think he’s saying something like because she hates him or whatever, it makes him love her more, and stuff.”
    tab “Well-”

    RING

tab The rest of the day, I became more and more worried about Michael, until it went over the top at lunch. I was walking around the corner to go to my locker, and I caught a glimpse of Michael, taking a small bag of white powder out of his pocket…He’s taking drugs! Since when did he take drugs?
tab I gasped, and I think one of Michaels “friends” saw me, so I ran to find Haley, afraid.
tab “Haley!” I cried to her, fortunately, she was at her locker.
    tab “Ya?”
    tab “Michael’s taking drugs.”
    tab “What?”
tab “It’s true!” Tears slid down my face. “And its all my fault. He’s all depressed because of me.”
tab Haley hugged me, “It’s no your fault Tory. How could you think that?”
    tab “Because it always is.”
tab The rest of the day, I spent in the bathroom, crying, again.

    ~*~*~*~

tab I haven’t touched my song book in over three months; I didn’t even want to touch it ever again. Too many things have been on my mind, and not ideas for a song. They were about Michael. How could he be doin that to himself? It’s just so, wrong.
tab He hasn’t been at school for about three weeks, and I was assigned to bring his homework over to him. Oh joy. Derik accompanied me, and we drove over to Michael’s house.
    tab I rang the doorbell.
    tab No answer
tab I knocked on the door a few times.
    tab Still no answer
tab “Hello? Michael? Are you there?” I knocked on the door a few more times. “I have your homework.”
tab And as if he thought Derik and I wouldn’t notice, Michael tried to sneak out the back. He ran into the street, knowing that there was a sixteen-wheeler truck speeding down the road. He stood there, not afraid. I dropped the books.
tab “I love you Victoriana,” was what I thought I heard him say.
tab “Michael!” I screamed at him.

tab But it was too late.
