• Alley looked out into the forest behind her house while laying on a hammock, enjoying the sound of birds and the sight of nature. Then after a moment she didn’t hear anything. The woods had gone dead silent. Alley stood up and looked around. At first she didn’t see anything then on the second scan she spotted a dog sitting behind a tree. Or what she thought was a dog. She held out her hands as if she had something in them and said “Here boy!” The dog walked out from behind the tree and Alley stepped back seeing the noticeable difference between a wolf and a dog, then seeing the noticeable difference between a wolf and something completely different. Alley took her hand back but didn’t run. She slowly and carefully took a couple steps back. Then the thing stood on two legs. The creature stood taller than 6ft and had long fur. The thing had gangly arms and legs with a curve in its back. Its head looked almost exactly like a wolf’s. Then creature got back down on four after taking a sniff at the air. The thing scared the crap out of Alley it was unnatural and it had human like eyes that was more creepy than the creature itself. The creature ran up to Alley and she froze. The creature sniffed her shoes and clothes then it let out a little yip out at her. Then it did the same thing her dog did. It made a sudden move at her and put its front end in the grass and held its tail in the air. When Alley made a sudden mve back to the creature it suddenly jumped up and ran in a circle, after seeing that I wasn’t going to chase it. I laughed at the animal as it did it again. I walked inside and grabbed a dog treat and tossed it to the creature. The creature snatched it out of the air and went up to her and licked her hands. Alley pet the creature and sat back down on the hammock. The creature stood over her for a second and then laid beside her in the grass. When Alley heard her parents come home she stood up and tried her best to shoo the creature into the forest. Unfortunately, her father came out and saw the creature. He quickly ran back inside and came out with a pistol in his hands. Then as Alley yelled and screamed for him to stop he fired. The creature, or as Alley thought of it, the werewolf yipped and ran into the forest. She yelled angrily at her father trying to explain that the creature wasn’t going to hurt her, but he never listened or understood. Whenever Alley sat out back she always looked for the poor creature, but understood when she never saw it again. Alley never thought of werewolves the same again. She saw them as kind and playful creatures like a dog. When her friends would talk of books with violent werewolves that fought, she would always disagreed and tell them of her version of a werewolf.
