• Chapter Six: Lola’s Training
Lola was training under Bloodfang himself. This was a great honor for Lola for no one had trained under the Alfa Male in the history of the pack. “So, what’s to teach? I’m already a fair pack member and best in hunting and fighting.”
“You have but only begun to learn the ways of the pack. You still don’t know how to turn to your other two forms. That is what I will teach you today.” Bloodfang was taking this training lightly. Unfortunately for him Lola likes to play tricks on people, and he was no exception.
“Now you must picture yourself as a half human but first you must take off that stone.”
    “What stone?”
“The one we gave you for your 13th birthday! The one around your neck!”
“Why? It’s not like its keeping me from my full power.”
“That’s precisely what it does. Each member of the pack is born in one of the more common forms. You were born a human so we put you under human protection.”
“Why couldn’t you raise me? Was there some kind of danger?”
“It would be very peculiar to have a human child living with a pack of wolves. Plus back then the territory was being invaded by another pack. It would be too dangerous.”
“So why give me the stone?”
“Each member of the pack gains their full power on their 13th birthday. But for you we couldn’t let you find out. We were going to wait until you turned 18 but we have no choice now.”
“Okay I understand that but now your telling me to take off the one thing I keep closest to my heart? No way! Never! There has to be another way!” Lola decided she needed a laugh right now.
“You would have to be extremely powerful to overcome a part of the crescent stone. There is no way you have reached that kind of power!” Bloodfang turned his back on Lola, about to take the necklace off her himself. He turned blankly on the spot, hand outstretched. He was suddenly thrown on the ground by his arm and found Lola grasping his wrist.
“How…How did you…did you do th…that!” Bloodfang was looking at a half human Lola with her collar in her fangs. Smiling at him Lola felt much better.
“That all for today? I really must get changed. I can’t keep going around in my school uniform. Can I go? Talk to me!”
“Uh, sure. That’s all for now. But don’t you want to learn how to turn back. Or into a wolf?” Bloodfang was still dumbfounded.
“It’s the same thing right? Then I’ll be fine! Bye bye!”
Bloodfang sat on the wondering how Lola was ever able to overcome him. Or how she knew what he was planning. This troubled Bloodfang. He had never thought that this could happen. But there is much more to the explanation. Lola was no ordinary half human. She was royalty. But she would not find out for another two years. Actually no one will even have a clue until then.
