• "Sam! Time to go hunting." I looked up from the T.V. to see Katie glaring at me. I was the queen of sarcasm so this was what I did. I crossed my arms and raised an eyebrow.
"I'm not thirsty. Maybe later." My attention turned back to the T.V. Katie was my older vampire sister but when I give her sarcasm, she just glares. I saw her give a have hearted smile and open the door.
From the corner of my eye, I saw my family pile up at the door ready to go.
"Are you sure Sam?" my vampire mother Alana asked.
"Yeah I'm fine. I'll just go see my human family for a while. School starts in an hour." I said my eyes still glued to the T.V. screen. Alana just shrugged and walked out the door. I got up from the couch and jumped out the window and I ran as fast as I could. I passed trees and houses on my way by. Living a double life was interesting. I go back and forth between familys and my human family never notices. Mark, my vampire brother, said I wasn't allowed to tell my human family about them and I sworn I would never tell a human. I suddenly skidded to a stop in the woods. I peered through the trees and spotted our house. I walked home and enjoyed the nice spring weather. I finally got home and got everything ready for school. I ate Fruity Pebbles and sat on the couch. Mom finally woke up. I chuckled. Sometimes, it was really funny knowing all that I've done that day and when I got home humans just started waking up. Well, most anyway. I have adapted to not feed on humans. I only do when I'm with Alana, Katie, and Mark. Mom looked at the clock on the wall.
"Hmm your bus should be here soon Jordyn. Maybe you should leave now." I nodded and walked out the door. Oh yeah, when i'm in "human mode" I'm called Jordyn. As a vampire, Sam. I sat on the bus not knowing that later I would have a life changing expericence happen. With a human named Austin.
