Chapter 1
I woke up in a strange, pitch black room. But for some reason I can see perfectly. It's like looking in a room that has shade all around. My eyes were wide open and I can smell blood. And it smelt good. I glanced down from the bed I was sitting upon, and saw a bucket of blood. I gazed at it and felt a sudden dryness in my throat. I needed to drink something. And the blood was the only thing that smelt delicious. I picked up the bucket and gulped it down in three seconds.
I heard a chuckle in the other side of the room. I darted my head to the sound. I saw a man. And, to my suprise, he was gorgeous. He had beautiful pale skin that seemed to glow in the darkness. But his eyes were creepy. But, mostly, evil. Dark. Black. Evil.
"I see you liked that," he said in a thick accent.
The sound of his voice made me jump. His voice was so hollow it sounded like a grouchy whisper.
He chuckled again. Only it was darker, meaner, and deffinately fiercer.
"Why am I here?" I asked. The sound of my voice made me jump. It sounded like the twinkling of bells, when normally I sounded like a stupid prep trying to make an impression.
"Well, my thirst was getting to me," he said, smiling.
"What are you talking about?" I asked. My voice still scares me.
But the second I said that he was gone. I looked down at my body and saw blood all over it. Blood.... I thought. Oh my gosh! He's a vampire?!
And the second I thought that, it made me think, Am I a vampire too?
I was swiftly moving through the trees, covering my mouth with both my hands, basically holding it shut. Every human I pass, makes my throat burn and makes my two teeth grow very long. Apparently, that's what I'm supposed to bite them with. With my throat still burning, recently after passing a little girl playing with a red bouncy ball, I hold my rock-hard lips together stronger. After all the thoughts in my head a minute ago, there must be thousands. Why is this happening? Why am I no longer human? And most importantly, Why am I a vampire?
I was moving so quickly I nearly crashed into a tree. BUT APPARENTLY due to my vampire instincts, I WILL NEVER CRASH INTO ANYTHING AGAIN! I don't even know how I became a vampire. All I know right now is that I'm thirsty, and if I don't drink something fast, someone might lose their life.
I smelt a sent of blood, although not as appetizing as the others. It's like the aftertaste of something sour. Still smelling it, I ran off in search for it. It took me about ten seconds to find it. It was an innocent doe, munching on grass. She didn't hear me because vampires are apparently so fast, they can even fool animals.
The burning in my throat was unbearable, so I pounced. I struck it's throat, because that was where the most blood was. The poor thing was struggling in my hands, it's hooves kicking me in the stomach. But it felt like someone lightly brushing against me. In about twenty seconds, there was no blood left. My bloody clothes were really shredded, so I went in search for some others. I came across a cabin that, thankfully, was vacant.
I found a pear of jeans, and a long sleeved white cotton shirt. I quickly put them on then zoomed back out. But right when I did that, a suprised human was at the doorway.
I accidentally gulped some air, but he smelled horrible. I jumped back, a growling noise coming out of my mouth.
His arms were shaking like crazy, and his eyes were growing a deep crimson red. "What are you doing in my house?!" he growled.
"I don't know. Why do you smell bad?" I asked, suddenly feeling like a retard.
He barked a laugh, which actually sounded like a bark. "You don't know what I am? Oh, you must be a newborn. I'm a werewolf."
"What? Why? I don't even know how I became a vampire!" I yelled, moving franticly back and forth.
"Well, there's two ways. Either you're born a vampire, or a vampire turned you into a vampire." he said, sitting down on the loveseat in the room.
"What? How the hell are you born a vampire?"
"Frankly, I don't know. I just heard of it while passing through the woods. Now why are you here?" he said, growing impatient.
"I needed clothes," I said, looking down.
"Well, you can keep them. They're gonna stink forever," he said, smiling.
I smiled. "Thanks. What's you're name?"
"Troy. What about you?"
"I can't remember."
"What's your necklace say?" Troy asks, pointing at my neck.
I looked down at it. It had an ellegantly carved L on it. "It says L," I said, admiring it.
"Hmm. Why don't we call you Laura?" he asks.
"I love it. Thanks," I said, smiling even wider.
"No problem. You know, this is quite rare."
"What is?"
"A vampire and werewolf getting along. Heck, I don't think it's even possible."
"Well, we just proved something didn't we?" I asked, laughing.
