• Lost Of Leberai

    Part VI: The Breaking

Meanwhile, high in the clouds above; Amoranth methodically hunts for Guilderek. Finally he finds him actually sitting at his post; the Latoropai Well.

Instantly Amoranth has Guilderek by the throat, "You never even made an attempt to tell her! You made me look like a fool before the Forest God!" Amoranth tosses him to the ground.

"N-no, Master Amoranth... I-I-I just forgot... I was too ashamed to tell you I had forgotten. So I-ee-aragh!" Guilderek curls into a ball, clenching the place Amoranth kicked him.

"I know you didn't forget. You wanted to get her in trouble." Wrathfully he roars.

Kneeling down, Amoranth pins Guilderek against the well. "Now, tell me, there was something you said to her as I was walking away with Kami no Mori. What was it?"

Just as Guilderek was going to spout some nonscence, the sky of Leberai suddenly flashes black. The ground begins to shake. Strong instincts take hold of Rakashael and she sprints to the Latoropai Well.

"Lord Amoranth! The Wall! We need a Drapeshedo aswell!" She seems to spit orders.

"Excuse me, but who is in charge here?!" Amoranth growls. "Sorry, b- there isn't time!" Quickly she flies down the well, forsaking the rope.

Swiftly Rakashael opens the Eastern wall of the well and sprints into the maze of ramps and stairs. Urgently she bounds to The Wall, the barrier between Hell and the worlds. The Wall shakes and cracks in shambles. Root-like demons slip out from in between the cracks. Very quickly they grow trying to escape Hell. Rakashael uses her power to try and reinforce The Wall with more rock. She channels her energy into the ground and with a few flicks of her wrist a massive wall of solid rock rises from the dust. Still The Wall shakes and cracks. The root-like demons madly reach forward and continue breaking The Wall. From no where it seems, a Monolith bashes its head through the wall. Its rock-like skin crack to reveal the molten lava beneath. Bellowing, the demon's massive horns are lodged in the wall. From its mouth pour ash and fire. A Finsath also pushes its limbs from the wall. The roots tangle Rakashael's feet; she hacks herself free with her sword. The fire and ash from the Monolith's mouth blinds her, and makes it difficult to breathe. Flailing its arms, the Finsath's razor sharp claws graze Rakashael's skin. With no way to bring forth water; Rakashael swings her sword with skill to keep the roots back. At the same time she uses her earth wielding power to douse some of the flames. With a bit of luck she breaks through the roots and severs the finsath's body. Unfortunately the roots ruthlessly continue to trap her ankles and bind her bones. Another, goat-headed demon tries to escape through the hole the Finsath created. Several other demons quarrel over the opening trying al to push through it at once. Rakashael breaks through more roots, only to find herself trapped by others.

Suddenly, a Monolith's massive tail crashes through the wall and hits Rakashael full force. She falls off balance and the roots take hold of her right hand. Like a vice grip the roots tighten, crushing her wrist. Desperately Rakashael summons forth sharp rocks to keep the roots from completely overtaking her. Rakashael perilously reaches for her root covered sword. Unexpectedly some of the melevolent roots grasp her throat; now choking her of life. Rakashael fights onward. Highly determined Rakashael continues to cut the roots back with all the rock she can conjure. It all seems so hopeless, but she refuses to give up.

Wriggling she manages to get her right foot free. Slamming her foot down; she sends a slab of stone under her back and raises it above the rest of the ground. Some of the roots break and she manages to free her arm. Quickly she reaches for her sword and cuts her throat free before she completely passes out. Soon she is free from the demonic plants. Leaping toward the Monolith, whose head is still stuck; Rakashael plunges her sword into its huge head. The heat that eminates from its skull burns Rakashael's skin. To ashes the demon falls; in its place hundreds of other demons begin to swarm. On her own Rakashael is taking on the very bowels of Hell.

Again those relentless roots wrap themselves around Rakashael's ankles. Yet another Finsath reaches its limbs through to pierce Rakashael's skin. Ths hit sends her flying backwards. Immediately the roots have her by her throat and are completely covering her. With all her might, she attempts to swing her sword at the Finsath, to no avail. This time the roots clamp down much harder on her throat. Everything seems to grow darker. Suddenly, a strong wave of shadows and cool air consumes the area, and Rakashael. Within the blink of an eye the demons cowar back from her. Immediately Rakashael jumps up to see the one who has saved her.

    Who could it be?

    Until Next Time: Rakashael.
