• Chapter 1. 1,2,3
1,2 I'm coming for you. 3,4 You better lock your doors. 5,6 I can do a hard kick. 7,8 Now I'm prowling by your gate. 9,10 Now I'll do this to your friends. When my friends and I made it up, it probably was the most popular that ever happened. It meant so little to me at the time. I told myself, "So what. It's made up."

It was Friday, the last few minutes of the day when it appeared. The right side of it's face was smashed and it's eyes was bleeding and it was a lazy eye. The clothes it was wearing were gray and ragged. Blood was stained on them. "1,2 I'm coming after you." It hissed out of its small snakelike mouth with a tongue slithering out of the thin wisps that were probably lips.

After that day, I never wanted to go to sleep for it might come to me in my sleep. But it was even worse staying up, because I rather not see it again. The dark scared me even worse now then when I was a child. I tried to think of wonderful bright things, but they turned into nightmares in daylight. Did what I see, was it my imagination? I hoped so.

The 'it' didn't show up again for 3 weeks. I finally let my guard down. "It's okay. It won't come back." I told myself. I smiled to myself. Then I let my breath slide out into an exhausted sigh of relief. My friends stopped singing it when I told them what happened. I knew they were be scared if all the stuff in the song came true. We never told anyone else.

I heard a few kids singing it in 3rd grade. "They shouldn't sing it." I told Marie, the one who made up the last verse. "I know. They don't know the horrible part of it. It's true." She replied. I wasn't sure I wanted to see the 'It' again. But my friends are scared. They were scared because what if it came at a random moment and scared us all together? We never relaxed.

"Okay. If 'it' only said 1,2, we should have a while till he says 3,4. Otherwise I WILL lock my doors and windows. I don't want a kick out of 'it'...." Alicia said trying to find words to explain. We all nodded in agreement. But we didn't see what was coming from our little 'visitor' till we were the last ones in the classroom.
