• Fenrir jolted upright and winced and a jolt of pain shot through his side. He slowly got out of bed and carefully dressed himself in nothing more than a pair of black boots and brown leggings, his entire torso was wrapped in bandages and a rust-colored blotch stained the left side of them. He walked out his room and noticed that Kida had disposed of the body and wiped up all the blood in the tavern. Fenrir sat down to rest and waited on Kida. After awhile Fenrir heard a faint noise that sounded like someone was crying. He followed the noise past his room, to the room at the end of the hall. He slowly opened the door and saw Kida sitting on the bed crying. He walked in and one of the floorboards creaked, her head jerked up and a cry escaped her lips as she ran into his arms. “I thought I had lost you,” Kida said in-between sobs, “Don’t ever leave me, I don’t want to lose you too.” Fenrir held her head up and gently said, “I won’t.” They both stood in each other’s embrace for what seemed like hours until Fenrir’s body erupted into a wave of pain. He fell to the ground gasping for breath and as Kida reached out to comfort him he screamed, “DON’T TOUCH ME!!!” Kida stepped back in horror as she saw his body start to transform. His skin became translucent and looked as if it were filled with smoke, his eyes turned blood red, his fangs and claws grew and a black wing sprouted from his left shoulder. As he slowly stood Kida, frightened asked, “What are you?” Fenrir replied in a voice that sounded like the cries of millions of damned souls, “I…am Chaos.”
