• CHAPTER 3: DEMON'S RAGE

It was early morning when I woke up, the rest of the team was still asleep. I slipped on my sandals and jumped up into a nearby tree. I scanned the area, only to find that it was going to storm. My pink cat ears twitched, so they could tune into any strange sounds I couldn't hear with my regular ears. I heard someone get up, it was Chi. I sighed in relief, I thought it was an enemy ninja. I was really getting paranoid about the whole enemy thing. But who could blame me, it was my first B-rank mission away from the village. Chi rubbed her eyes wearily and yawned. "Morning Kyuu-chan," she shouted sleepily. "Morning, Chi-chan," I replied while jumping out of the large tree. I grabbed two water bottles and handed one to Chi. "Thanks," Chi said. "Welcome," I said cheerfully. We sat down for a while. After about half and hour Mamoru was up. "Hey Mamoru," Chi and I shouted. He was surprised and slipped on a patch of wet grass. We laughed as he got up. Mamoru chuckled at his own accident. Chi tossed him a water bottle. "Thank you Chi-san," Mamoru said happily. Chi nodded, "Welcome." I quickly drank half of my water while Chi and Mamoru chatted. Chi and Mamoru seemed to get along a lot better than yesterday. I smiled. "We should probably wake up sensei and Haru," I suggested. They smirked and took their water bottles over to sensei and Haru. They dumped about half of it on their heads. They both jumped. "What," Kuro-sensei shouted surprised. Haru glared at Chi, who was on the ground laughing. I laughed too, but Haru glared at me. I sweat dropped and got up. Kuro-sensei shook his head and grabbed his back pack. We all did the same, and headed off towards our destination. (Two days later...)
We were all sitting in a hotel room of a rain village hot spring. "Okay, the third Hokage said that we were supposed to meet a group here," Kuro-sensei said. There was a sudden knock at the door. Kuro got up to opening it. There was a group of about five, three men and two women. "You must be the ones we were supposed to meet," he said. "Yeah, your squad 9 of konoha right," a man with white hair asked. "Yup," we all replied. They all nodded and motioned us to follow them. We all got our things and left the room. After about half an hour of walking, we were back in the forest. Sensei started to get suspicious. "Heh, I thought you lived in the village," Kuro-sensei said. The group stopped, and the white haired man laughed. "People aren't always what they seem," he replied with an evil smirk. He blew a strange whistle, and the group's genjutsu disappeared, revealing their true selves. Heavily armed rain ninja stood were the group used to be. One of them lunged at Kuro-sensei, who dodged the attack. The other four attacked us. Mamoru was knocked off his feet by one of the rain ninja. Chi and I were cut up because the two women used genjutsu on us. Haru was fighting off one of the attacks sent at her. Kuro-sensei was bruised and cut up. I fell to the ground as a kunai hit me in the leg. Mamoru had a large scar on his eye. Chi looked around and saw all of us injured. "Chi, do you want to use my power," a sinister voice asked. Chi was suddenly in her subconscious, and she glared at the large wolf like demon in front of her. She nodded. It let out an evil laugh as black chakra engulfed Chi. Chi let out a scream of rage. I watched as her eyes turned into that of a wolf. She grew large fangs and sharp claw-like nails. We all froze. Chi suddenly attacked us. "Chi, snap out of it," Mamoru screamed. She glared at him and sent him flying into a large stone. Mamoru was bleeding heavily and was unconscious. Tears welled up in my eyes, as I stared in horror at Chi's new form. Chi had already knocked out four of the rain ninja. The man with the white hair fled. The black chakra disappeared into the air. Chi fell to the ground unconscious.
